Your financial gifts support our programs and services to help people achieve independence.

The Helms Society

Thanks to your generous support, Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries is able to help individuals with barriers to self-sufficiency to achieve independence and dignity through work.

Members of the Helms Society help continue the legacy of the Rev. Edgar J. Helms, who founded Goodwill in Boston’s South End in 1895 to provide those living in poverty “a hand up, not a hand out.”

When you join the Helms Society with a gift of $500 or more, you help support our life-changing programs. Just as important, you help build a legacy of caring that ensures Goodwill can continue to serve those who will turn to us in the future.

Goodwill recognizes the exceptional generosity of Helms Society members with the special benefits listed below.
