Tamesis Rodriquez - I Will Aspire

Tamesis Rodriquez signed up for Goodwill’s youth mentoring program to help overcome her shyness.

It’s working.

The 17-year-old Roxbury resident, who moved to the US three years ago from Puerto Rico, is more outgoing and definitely willing to assert herself.

“I used to sit in a corner when I would walk into a room,” said Tamesis. “But Goodwill's mentoring program has helped me be more confident. I speak now more than I ever expected.”

An athlete who likes to play volleyball, basketball, and softball, Tamesis aspires to be a dentist who specializes in working with children.
