Our Mission

Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries' mission is to provide exemplary job training and related services to help individuals with disabilities and other barriers to self-sufficiency to achieve independence and dignity through work. Not charity, but a chance.

This year Goodwill ---

  • Provided job, vocational and on-the-job training to approximately nearly 1,500 individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities, transitioning from welfare or facing other barriers to employment.
  • Assisted more than 7,000 individuals seeking jobs and career services through our one-stop career center, Boston Career Link.
  • Worked with more than 600 employers including The TJX Companies, Jiffy Lube, ZOOTS, KeySpan Energy, Stop & Shop and other leading companies.
  • Operated seven Goodwill Stores, cleaned 1.5 million square feet of offices and provided light assembly and mailing services that offered real work experience and paychecks to Goodwill program participants.
  • Served the community by providing educational services to 500 youth through the Fresh Air Camp and Mellon Academy for Girls and provided Thanksgiving meals to more than 1,400 neighbors in need.
  • Collected more than 20 million pounds of donated clothing and household goods from over 500,000 donors for resale in The Goodwill Stores.
  • Spent 85¢ of every dollar directly on Goodwill’s programs.
